Item Description
27-1/8x41" one sheet poster for the original 1945 release of the 13 chapter Columbia serial based on the "Brenda Starr, Reporter" comic strip created by Dale Messick. This is for Chapter 13, "The Mystery Of The Payroll." Poster features great imagery of Joan Woodbury in the title role at top w/male co-star Kane Richmond. Lower left features inset film scene showing both Woodbury and Richmond arresting man. Poster has been folded (now rolled) as issued and has pinholes at corners. Evenly aged w/strips of aged tape at top/bottom center margins. Margins show wear w/.5" to 1.25" tears (some tears along fold creases) wear at fold crease intersections resulting in some splits/holes w/tape repairs/reinforcements on reverse. 1-7/8 tear at left margin by "Brenda" name in title and 1.25" tear at top center w/some creasing. VG overall.
