Item Description
27x41" one sheet movie poster for the 1942 Republic 12 chapter serial starring Kane Richmond as Spy Smasher, his alter ego Alan Armstrong and his own twin brother. Poster is for Chapter 5, "Descending Doom" and is dominated by great full body image of Spy Smasher running to stop masked Nazi criminal The Mask as female lead Marguerite Chapman looks on from top right. Poster has large inset photo from the serial showing Spy Smasher battling man on tail of airplane. Originally folded, poster is now rolled. Poster shows obvious margin wear, w/pin holes at corners and bottom center w/.75" corner tip off upper left w/.5" staple pull; 1" piece off upper right corner (w/scattered staining) and small holes at fold crease intersections (w/tape on reverse). Strip of aged tape at top center margin. Tape reinforcements added along fold lines on reverse. Bottom margin shows handling wear. Good/VG.
