Item Description
27.25x41.25" one-sheet poster for the original release of the 1947 20th Century-Fox film based on an actual incident - Dana Andrews portrays an attorney forced to defend a man accused of murdering a priest. One of Elia Kazan's first films, it the first to tackle a social issue, a theme he would return to many times throughout his career. Poster was originally folded and has now been paper-backed and rolled. Poster has some restoration including color touch-ups along fold lines w/.5" to 1" by 3" area of more moderate color touch-up to right of Andrews' name and along fold line running through his hair. upper left corner has some creasing. Poster now displays Fine as restored.
