Item Description
Pair of 27x41" one sheet posters for 12 chapter Republic serials. First is for the original 1942 release of "Perils Of Nyoka." This is for Chapter 13, "Thundering Death" featuring great Nyoka graphics w/inset film scene at top left showing her protecting man w/gun. Poster has been folded (now rolled) as issued and has some lt. wear along fold lines w/tiny tears at fold crease intersections w/tape repairs/reinforcements added on reverse. 1/8" hole by Nyoka's knee. Aged strips of tape at top/bottom center margins. Top margin has some small chips and lower right fold crease has 2" split. VG/Fine. Second is for the original 1955 release of "Panther Girl Of The Kongo." Poster is not chapter specific and features jungle girl (as played by Phyllis Coates), elephant, snake, natives, dinosaur and large monster. Poster has been folded (now rolled) as issued and has some lt. margin wear. Pin holes at corners. Fold crease intersections show some wear w/some staining due to tape repairs on reverse. Lower right corner has 4.75" crease. Fine overall.
