7/8". c. 1941. The group was founded by Arthur Reid a noted 'street speaker' in New York City. He was concerned w/helping African Americans achieve industrial wealth and viewed the economic inequalities as the toughest to overcome on the path to equality. Operating mostly in Harlem, the group focused on helping new African American business owners. Surface wear consistent w/light use and most notable are three tiny pinpoint indentations at 11 o'clock at extreme edge. Exc. Rare.
