Item Description
Nice quality brown leather Western saddle sized for child use of about 13" width by 19" length plus side skirt and suspended stirrup extending downward about 24" from saddle itself. 1950s. Each stirrup fender has "Roy Rogers" name in embossed rope script above embossed image of him on rearing Trigger. Saddle has silvered brass saddle horn, stirrups are wooden under leather cover. Underside of saddle had wool fleece lining of which vast majority is missing. Sides of saddle seat have six pairs of long, narrow leather strings. Saddle seems complete including cinch straps. Stirrup length is adjustable. Has moderate wear from use, VG/Fine. Still displays nicely, this example is one of only a few known.
