Item Description
27x41" one-sheet for the 1953 re-release of the Republic 12-Chapter serial, retitled "Return Of Captain Marvel." This poster is not chapter-specific and features image of Tom Tyler as Captain Marvel flying at top w/image of serial's villain The Golden Scorpion at lower right beside powerful ray weapon shaped like a large metallic scorpion. Poster has been folded as issued and has pin holes along margins and at corners w/some small pulls and strips of aged tape at top/bottom center margin and along side margins as well. Moderate margin wear w/.25x3/8" piece missing. Poster shows wear along fold lines and at fold crease intersections, and center fold crease intersection has .5" area w/scattered missing paper that has been backed w/archival tape. Back of poster also has a few strips of brown paper tape. VG. Scarce.
