Item Description

1.25" lt. and normal oxidation on metal back w/curl reading (C) Walt Disney Enterprises. The Disney 1934 licensed merchandise catalog sent to retailers introduced the Mickey Mouse "Skoots" sneakers by Converse. This button was made to advertise the sneakers but few were made as it is quite rare. Our last example, w/a few scratches, realized over $2,300 in Auction #217. This example displays beautifully w/barely seen and small age marks on extreme edge, off and on, between 5 and 12 o'clock. Only very slight surface wear in reflected light. No color fade. High gloss. Overall VF and displaying at least NM. Among the very rarest and certainly one of the two or three most graphically striking of the 1930s Mickey Mouse advertising buttons.
