Item Description
1.25" with Bastian paper used 1907-1920 but we estimate use as c. 1910. Shown is early 20th century bathing beauty perched above the ocean water on a piling with a brass mooring ring on its side. The woman confidently adjusts her red bathing hat as the wind blows her sailor outfit necktie and swimming dress and a pair of sea gulls soar in the distant sky. There is an as made speck of silver color under the cello on the second "I" of "Citizens". Reverse has 1/16" dot when cello did not fold smoothly under the collet. Both defects are barely seen and trivial. Condition is essentially Mint as made with almost no  surface wear, high gloss, perfect centering and stunning color. An outstanding example on the top 10 list of many collectors. A modest opening.
