Item Description

14.25x24.25x2" deep painted (textured orange) metal case contains A.C. Gilbert Co. set No. 5, 1932. Lid has metal fasteners and features illustrated decal featuring "The New Erector Electrical Set" text and image of boys w/electrical apparatus. Case has scattered wear in the form of paint nicks/scratches and has some small areas of bare metal showing. Case is Fine overall. Lid label shows age and has large area of moisture staining. VG. Set appears complete w/various components for electrical experiments and projects. Underside of lid has series of metal clips holding "Gilbert Fun With Your Motor" and "Erector - Electrical Set" manuals as well as small envelopes containing material for experiments. Items attached to lid show varying degrees of lt. to moderate aging and are VG-Fine overall. Set appears unused. Fine/VF overall. Early use of metal case. Barry Lutsky Collection.
