Item Description
12.25x20.25x2-7/8" deep painted metal case contains A.C. Gilbert Co. set No. 10, 1930s . Lid has metal fasteners and features illustrated label featuring boy using the "Gilbert Electric Eye." Case has scattered wear in the form of paint nicks/scratches and has scattered spots of oxidation to lid. Fine overall. Lid label shows some edge wear and has penciled price. Fine. Large and extensive set appears complete w/various components for electrical experiments and projects, including the "Electric Eye." Underside of lid has series of metal clips holding "Gilbert Fun With Your Motor, Gilbert Electric Eye" and "Gilbert Electrical Set" manuals and Gilbert order sheet as well as assembly diagram sheet. Items attached to lid show varying degrees of lt. to moderate aging and are Fine overall. Set appears unused and is complete w/original cardboard inserts. VF-Exc. overall. Early use of metal case.
