Item Description
One of many versions, this is 1920 set No. 2009. 10-7/8x18.75x3.25" deep wooden hinged lid box w/trace remnants of "Gilbert Toys" decal. A.C. Gilbert, 1920. Box has separation of top panel at back of lid, but remains structurally sound. Fine overall. Set appears complete and comes w/"Book Of Instructions - Gilbert Mysto Magic" manual and both lid and tray have cardboard inserts containing various components for magic tricks including metal rings, wooden and metal balls, magic wand, magic coins (one glass cover has small chip), "Mysto" chalk slate and envelopes containing "various tricks, each labeled. Instruction manual shows moderate aging and is Fine overall. Magic trick contents appear unused and aside from some moderate paint flaking to one piece, heavy aging and some chipping to instruction slip for "The Chinese Rice And Water Trick" and general aging, are Fine/VF. Nicely designed set. Comes w/original voucher and unused (but aged) personal performance show poster. Barry Lutsky Collection.
