Item Description
28x48" fabric banner used at the 1940 Democratic National Convention. Large graphic of a donkey at center w/text "Chicago Welcomes You" at top. Red margin at top has a series of tiny holes along the extreme top edge, a 3.5" and two intersecting 2" tears in red margin at top expertly repaired. Additionally a less than .25" hole at the top of the neck line of donkey near center. Fine displaying VF. Rare. These defects are minimal to this overall commanding display piece from the third inaugurating convention of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
