Item Description
Trio of items issued to promote the Hopalong Cassidy daily strip that ran 1949-1955. 11x20-7/8" thin cardboard sign for "The Knickerbocker News" issued by Albany Times Union newspaper c. 1950. Sign features Hopalong Cassidy on Topper art and portrait w/"Hopalong Cassidy Rides Again - Don't Miss A Single Thrilling Episode - Read The Knickerbocker News" text. Sign has margin wear w/scattered moisture staining along top right and edge wear/aging. Fine. Buttons measure 1-3/8" and 2" dia. Smaller tin litho button was issued by "The Chicago Tribune" and features image of Hoppy from the waist up. Some lt. scattered rim wear but still VF overall. Larger cello button has "In The Daily News" text for New York City paper. Glossy and Exc.
