Item Description

10x18x2.5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains A.C. Gilbert Co. set No. 1362, 1931. Lid features images of balloons and children making/playing w/them. Box has corner tip wear w/tape repair to two lid corners and one box bottom corner and some moisture staining along bottom. Lid also has partial edge split along right edge and 7/8" puncture line. Box is o/w VG/Fine. Contents allowed user to "Make Balloons At Home" using process that required one to "Simply Dip The Form In Liquid Rubber And Dry." Illustrated die-cut cardboard insert contains all three glass jars of liquid rubber (which has long since dried out), lead balloon form, metal rod w/wooden handle, two metal stands for balloon forms, metal clasp and original electrical cord/plug. Set also comes w/illustrated instruction folder. Scattered lt. wear but VF/Exc. overall. Scarce. Barry Lutsky Collection.
