Item Description

8-3/8x12.25x1-7/8" deep wooden hinged lid case contains Gilbert set No. 6507, early 1920s. Case has metal fastener and lid has partial "Gilbert Toys" decal and this shows obvious wear. Underside of lid has insert that along w/tray insert, holds various magnet components for experiments and projects. Case shows some wear 4" split to lid's wooden surface by right hinge. VG/Fine. Comes w/"Gilbert Magnetic Fun & Facts" manual, which shows some scattered wear/aging and is Fine overall.  Set appears complete and unused w/some lt. aging and some scattered paper adhered to two large magnets (one of which has fingerprint in red paint.
