Item Description
7x11" brown mailing envelope contains complete and unused parts for 14 model airplanes and comes w/Vol. 1 No. 2 issue of "Jack Armstrong Tru-Flite News" newsletter. These model airplanes consist of a set of 14 different models, each issued w/illustrated instructions. ©1944 General Mills Inc. These models were originally issued in pairs and available for 5¢ and one Wheaties box top and were later offered as a set of 12. Envelope has hand-addressed recipient name/address and has scattered margin wear w/some small tears. Fine. Newsletter lists models in this set and has clipped coupon. Fine. Double-sided instruction sheets feature assembly instructions for one plane on one side, the other plane on opposite side. Sheets have even aging and one has moisture staining and is Fine. Rest are VF overall. Model planes include - P-51 Mustang, P-40 Flying Tiger, Japanese Zero, Supermarine Spitfire, Focke-Wulf FW-190m Grumman Hellcat F6F, P-47 Thunderbolt, IL-2 Stormovik and others.
