Item Description
1.5" with name of maker Cruver on covered tin back and name of jobber on curl "Houston Stamp & Stencil Co. Inc., Houston, TX." Reads "National Democratic Convention Houston Texas June 26, 1928." Elephant sits chained to a dome of land with agitated teapot on its peak as donkey kicks elephant's rear end. A foreground cactus symbolizes the convention's Texas location. Surface wear seen in reflected light most notable is a .5" hairline scratch between 6 and 7 o'clock in the cream border. Exc. Stain free and perfectly centered. A great cartoon rarity of very limited distribution.
