Item Description

7x13.5" die-cut display card contains child's satin-like fabric tie. c. 1948 © D.C. Card features 8.5" tall perforated figure of Superman w/easel designed to be punched out and used as a stand-up figure. Text on card includes "Wear A 'Superman' Tie And Be A Reg'lar Feller!" Card has .5" tear w/color touch-up at top of "Superman" name and some creasing by top die-cut slot for tie. Some corner tip wear w/1" crease at bottom right. Card o/w remains bright and clean w/just loose perforations around Superman's head. Fine overall. Tie features matching silk-screened image of Superman as seen on card and is Exc. Ties came in different colors and w/different images of Superman (see following lot #1906). Scarce on card. Franco Toscanini Collection.
