Item Description
1.75" real photo button, one of only three we've seen in this size and we've seen only two in 1.25" size.  St. Louis back paper has .5" hairline split. Pictured is "A. J. Davis/Poughkeepsie Seer" with his wise motto "Under All Circumstances Keep An Even Mind". Photo paper printed a bit on light side but all detail is present and button is super clean and glossy. Just a slight bit of oxidation on the collet. Exc. and displays Mint. Born in 1826, he claimed the gift of clairvoyance at an early age. He became a prolific writer, diagnosed diseases, predicted cars and typewriters decades before their invention and became known as John The Baptist of Spiritualism. Rare.
