Item Description
22x28.25" thin cardboard sign for July 23-28, 1951 performances that took place at the Stow Flats in Binghamton, NY. The show, advertised as a "James E, States Show" featured an unusual pairing of a magician w/this famous carnival/fair mid-way operator, rather than the usual side shows. Poster features caricature image of Lester surrounded by bats, ghouls and a snarling monster behind him. Bottom of poster features graveyard w/skull and wolf howling at moon. Poster was printed by Globe Poster Corp. of Baltimore, MD. Evenly aged w/some scattered areas of edge/corner tip wear. Staple holes along margins w/some scattered small pulls. Penciled date at upper right corner. Fine overall.
