Item Description
2-1/8" two-sided celluloid mechanical device with revolving celluloid wheel on the front. Around the front rim are 58 city or country names and at center is moveable dial with two circles of numbers for telling time across the globe. Center reads "The World Time Co. Pat/For/St. James Bldg. N.Y." Reverse center is Dewey surrounded by Miss Liberty with flag staff in one hand and what appears to be an American eagle atop the world globe in the other. We've seen one similar example issued with day's events dial for 1899 NYC parade in Dewey's honor. This was likely sold at that event. Rare and Mint.
