Item Description
3.25x6". Depicts Butler on stage w/one hand in the air gesturing to a large crowd all tossing their tops hats w/flag at right reading "People's Party/Equal Rights/Equal Burdens/Equal Privileges/To All Men Under The Law." Flag's canton is space for "postage Stamp." Minor toning overall and light handling wear. Extremely Fine. In 1884 Butler hoped to rally the minority party in each state, be it Democrat or Republican, into a single 'People's Party.' He was eventually nominated by both the Anti-monopoly Party and the Greenback Party. Outstanding color and an unrivaled design for the 1884 third party candidate.
