Item Description
5x8". Two sheets, folded, w/letter written in pencil across five leaves. Written from "Camp Pampon Feb. 16th" to "Brother Cal." Content includes story about the "Gallant 67th" attacking a "Rebel Camp" noting "Some Of The Boys Were Scared At This And Ran Back To Camp." Additional line of interest reads ""I Don't Know How Many Rebels Were Killed But We Bagged An Acting Agt. General, One Col., Six Capt., Seven Lieutenants And Fifty Privates." Separations and staining along vertical folds w/the second sheet being slightly darker than the first. VG. The first we can recall offering an example of this letter sheet design.
