Item Description
2.5". c. 1865. Engraved by Hugues Bovy of Switzerland. Obverse has a high relief portrait w/text "Abraham Lincoln President Of The United States" w/his birth and assassination dates in small text along base. Reverse has text at center "Emancipation Of Slavery Proclaim September 22, 1862." Medal is dated on reverse "4th March 1865." A nice mix of deep brown patina and copper highlights. VF. Scarce.
