Item Description
11x14" on thin cardboard. Pinchot was the 28th Governor of Pennsylvania serving the state from 1923-1927 and again from 1931 to 1935. He is perhaps best known for his 1905-1910 stint as Chief of the United States Forest Service working w/President Teddy Roosevelt during an era that saw extensive executive office forest preservation. First poster is c.1930 from his second stint as Governor of PA. Light gray and brown spots throughout, moderate handling wear and a 5/8x1" loss at lower left corner. Just VG. Second is from the "Primary Election, May 17, 1938." Additional text reads "Win With Pinchot" and "Gifford Pinchot Republican Candidate For Governor." Moderate and scattered light brown spots of toning throughout w/the majority of portrait remaining clean. Also a less than 1" surface paper lift at top right corner. Scarce pair. VG. Fred Noye Collection.
