Item Description

11x14" artboard has production art for back cover of 1979 Whitman coloring book featuring Batman swinging on trapeze swing, Robin leaping behind him. Artboard has been hand-colored w/acrylic paint and comes w/matching acetate sheet w/printed black line art. Both pieces have handwritten production notations along margin. Artboard and printed art have staple holes along margins w/scattered margin wear/aging, but art areas remain clean and if framed w/acetate overlay, would display Exc. Comes w/unused file copy example of the coloring book (w/production notations) this art was used for. From the Whitman Archives.
