Item Description
17.25x24.5" poster framed to 23.5x30.5". Litho has "Designed By C. W. Mott" at lower left. Featuring a pensive Uncle Sam paying workers Morgan silver dollars as he sits atop the "U.S. Mint". At lower left "Bryan" feeds bricks of silver into the Mint from a long line of horse drawn carts leading to the "Silver Mines" in background. Titled at top "16 to 1-Free Silver Means A Silver Dollar Is Worth Only 53 Cents." Blank narrow border has been trimmed, but this does not affect the central image area, and a few scattered horizontal tears at bottom edge that remain stable. Otherwise only overall light toning. Technically Fine but displaying Exc as framed. Most examples we have encountered have had notable handling wear or have had extensive restoration. The present example displays beautifully and has been professionally framed to museum standards. A rare and desirable 1896 campaign print with charming details.
