Item Description
7x10.25" typed letter on his personal gilt embossed "DDE The White House" stationery dated "May 19, 1955". The President invites "Mr. Belford L. Seabrook" to an "...informal stag dinner on the evening of Tuesday, June Fourteen". Signed boldly in black fountain pen at conclusion "Dwight D. Eisenhower". Final line reads "P.S. As A Personal Favor To Me, Would You Keep This Reasonably Confidential Until After The Event?" Overall moderate toning and scattered dots of light brown staining. Additionally there are three marks from tape applied on reverse that now shows through to front. Good/VG w/signature remaining bold. Also included are; "DDE" match book cover and pair of cards  each w/embossed Presidential seal and having hand written calligraphy reading "Mr. Seabrook" and "From Frank Wood To DDE To Belford Seabrook" respectively.  One has picture of pocket knife glued at left and 1954 penny tapped at right. All have moderate toning and reverse tape marks. VG. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
