Item Description
6" long plastic case w/hinged lid contains 1x1.25" thick brushed gold luster metal case watch w/three original interchangeable vinyl bands. Bradley, ©1973 Mattel. Plastic case complete w/illustrated insert card w/image of "Barbie Teenage Fashion Model." End of case has Bradley sticker w/"Barbie" name and partial store price sticker. Bradley sticker has scattered age spotting. Case is VF to Exc. Vacuform plastic insert holds the three different bands, center band w/attached watch. White band shows moderate wear from use w/obvious dust soiling. VG/Fine. Other bands are Exc. Dial features three-quarter view of Barbie w/animated arms. Case has some aging and is VF but dial is Exc. Running. Comes w/11x14" artboard w/attached onionskin overlay. This features production art for watch case insert card. Artboard has hand-inked border design w/two attached acetate sheets, one w/Rubylith accents. Overlay has all hand-done coloring/lettering and is expertly done w/great attention to detail, especially to Barbie portrait image. Various production notations at margins. Artboard has obvious corner tip wear w/some scattered margin age spotting and staining. Overlay has 1.75" tear at center left, but this does not affect art in any way. Overlay also has moderate corner creasing, but if matted and framed, art would display nicely. Unique.
