Item Description
Pair of illustrated cardboard boxes w/paper label-covered lid featuring image of caricatured American soldier carrying bayoneted rifle chasing after caricatured stereotypical Japanese soldier who carries spiked club and wears socks w/holes. Interwoven Stocking Company. 1942. Boxes only. Lids show some lt. scattered wear and are VF to Exc. overall. Comes w/9.75x13" stiff paper back cover of magazine, featuring inside ad image of Santa Claus stepping on Mussolini, holding dog w/Japanese soldier face by the tail and holding up Hitler punching bag. Santa's sack shows boxes of "Interwoven Socks." Small tear at bottom w/some corner tip wear. VF. Comes w/illustrated 3.5x4.25x1.25" deep cardboard box that contains pair of replacement O'Sullivan rubber heels and pack of nails for installing. Heavily aged box shows 'Kid O'Sullivan" fighting kangaroo character one side and running caricature stereotypical Japanese soldier on the other. These were meant to be cut out and have other cut-out items on box. Box is VG while contents are Exc.
