Item Description

9.5x20x2" deep box. Marks Bros. Co. c. 1934. Same circus theme illustration appears on lid, box bottom and separate backdrop board and features Mickey Mouse as ringmaster, Pluto as clown, Minnie Mouse balancing on the back of Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow on trapeze. Lid has two corners w/glue repairs, glue repairs to two 1" side panel tear and is missing 3.5" section of top side panel. Lid is Good/VG. Thick cardboard backdrop fits into slotted wood block at the top inside of the box bottom. Attached to this board are four cardboard pieces depicting Mickey and Minnie Mouse on trapeze swings w/raised hands holding wooden cups. These separate pieces are mounted on a post and a ball is placed in the cup on the top one which in turn tips and causes the ball to fall from one piece to the next. At bottom it rings a bell and then rolls into the box bottom into one of the designated score areas. Comes w/two vintage glass marbles. Most examples of this game have creases to the pieces holding cups. This example has some lt. edge wear and scattered aging, w/just minor corner crease to one. Top two cards have had glue applied to backs of cards to hold ball cups in place. Rest of game has some scattered dust soiling but is bright and VF. Great design.
