Item Description
6x10" album contains complete set of 48 cards, each 2.5x3" and all neatly mounted at appropriate spots. Issued in 1938 by Belgian Chewing Gum and essentially the same as the 1933 Wild West issue by Gum Inc., but w/text on card backs (and on the album pages) in French and Dutch. Same choice color art fronts. Also this set was produced without a card #25 which was a special (and very rare) "prize" card in the Gum Inc. set. Album has 16 pages for the cards plus special last page that is a one-sided coloring contest sheet that was to be removed. This has image of a cowboy and Indian w/instructions/rules on inside back over. Sheet is unused and intact. Cards have scattered aging and some staining as mounted but all art remains bright and vibrant. Cards EX as mounted. Lt. wear/aging to the album, Fine. Nice set.
