Item Description
Double matte is 21.5x27.5" with opening of 13.5x20" around the choice watercolor artwork. Matte has a velvet-like covering with separate opening at bottom center around engraved metal plaque noting character names and "Pat Block Watercolor-1994 Walt Disney Studios." 1994 was the first year Block began working as a Disney artist. Art depicts Donald precariously balanced on the top of a ladder attempting to put a star on top of a Christmas tree. Goofy's reaction is of shock regarding Donald's current situation and Goofy is shown dropping Christmas balls. Pluto runs by them chasing a squirrel, Mickey looks up at Donald from the ground where he holds a candy cane and is behind boxes of Christmas ornaments. In the bkg. is a snow-covered house, trees and deer with snowflakes falling all around the characters. Signed by Block at top left and he adds a Disney copyright at bottom left. Exceptional artwork.
