Item Description
Badges are each about 1x1.25". First is die cut w/four workers holding hands forming a chain around a globe w/text "1 May 1912" and "Hoch Die Internationale" which translates to "Elevate The International." Light toning noticeable at extreme edge, retains original ribbon and pin on reverse. VF. Silk ribbon is 6.75" long w/text "International Labor Day May 1, 1919." Fabric pulls and moderate wear consistent w/extensive use. VG. Metal badge featuring kneeling worker w/shovel in right hand and flag staff in left w/text at top "Vorwarts Zum Sozialismus" or "Forward To Socialism." Additional text at bottom "1 May 1921." Powder white surface toning, missing pin on reverse. Fine. Retains sharp details. Ted Watts Collection.
