Item Description
15x19" thin cardboard window card for 1940s "Gugenheim Museum Exhibition" that took place at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Poster features image of woman holding pottery by French painter and sculptor Fernand Léger, who created a personal form of cubism which he gradually modified into a more figurative, populist style. Exhibition likely took place right before or right after World War II. Scattered aging w/some scuffing. Fine overall. Great window card featuring a striking image by a famous artist whose work rarely ever appeared in poster format.
