Item Description

81x82.5" six-sheet for 1916 three-part silent film by Pilot Films (complete w/their sea captain logo). Printed by Morgan Litho Co., poster features firemen rescuing people from burning building as crowd watches. Early fire engine in foreground w/two additional engines' smokestacks visible in bkg. Poster is comprised of six equal sized sheets joined together as linen-mounted. Some scattered margin wear w/repairs and 1" spot of staining just below center right margin. Main image remains clean w/bold colors and would display VF if framed. All six-sheet movie posters of this era are very rare and this particular one is the only example known to us. Taking all factors into consideration - condition, size, graphics and rarity, this is a real show stopper.
