Item Description
10.25" long painted handmade prototype of Mattel's futuristic Dream Car. Wooden body w/aluminum side panels and front bumper. Metal brackets on underside hold axles w/solid rubber tires. Has differences from second prototype (see following item #1021) in that it has fins and different front bumper. One aluminum side panel has portholes as did the final toy car. Missing steering wheel. Wooden dash and Tuck and Roll style seat painted in red enamel. Prototype has moderate scattered wear, w/all over dust soiling and crazing to paint w/indents on hood/trunk, scattered paint wear and two .25" chips/flakes (one of seat, one on right rear quarter panel). Wear is consistent w/factory use/storage. Comes w/attached string tag w/handwritten "Early Dream Car Appear. Model) note which may be from Mattel Archive, but is not marked as such. VG overall. Unique.
