Item Description
10.25" long painted handmade prototype of Mattel's futuristic Dream Car (see previous item #1020). This prototype has a much closer resemblance to the final version of the toy as produced as the shapes of the aluminum side panels w/portholes and how they are positioned. Aluminum front bumper is also the same as used in the toy. Metal brackets screwed on underside hold axles w/solid rubber tires. Headlights are glass domes w/foil backing. Wooden seat is styled in Tuck and Roll painted in red enamel. Missing steering wheel. Prototype has moderate scattered wear, w/all over dust soiling and crazing to paint w/indents on hood, scattered paint wear, two spots of tape staining/tape remnants and one taillight is missing. Wear is consistent w/factory use/storage. VG/Fine overall. Unique.
