Item Description
10.5x16x1.5" deep cardboard box w/Al Capp illustrated lid contains complete and unused Gem Color Co. set #3250. ©1950 UFS. Lid features Capp art of Li'l Abner using paint set as Mammy and Pappy Yokum pose w/Daisy Mae and Salomey the pig. Box shows moderate wear w/three corner splits to lid, which also has corner creases. Fine. Insert also features Capp illustrations including Abner, Pirate Shmoo and two Kigmys. Set includes 20 watercolor paint tabs, six crayons (which have melted some w/age), three glass jars of paint, paintbrush, mixing tins and "Li'l Abner's Coloring Book" which consists of glossy color cover, paint guide and two double-sided pages to color. All remains stapled at center as issued. Contents have scattered aging and are Fine to Exc. Barry Lutsky Collection.
