9.5x14" poster features art done in the style of Jules Chéret, shows bearded veterinarian in medical smock studying "The Practical Veterinarian" book by Hocquart, surrounded by various animals. Poster served as an advertisement for the book, noting it was sold where this poster was displayed. c. 1880s. Faint horizontal fold line. Displays VF as linen-mounted.
