Item Description
1930s pair. Size 12 vest from rare boxed child's playsuit issued by Sackman Brothers Co. Vest has 3.5" diameter leather patch w/full figure image and "Buck Rogers 25th Century" text at bottom held in place w/metal rivets. Patch has lt. scattered aging but still bold and distinct w/all metal accents retaining bright luster. Vest has aging to cloth trim and a few small spots of staining. Fine overall. This was both a store item and also issued as a Cream of Wheat premium. Comes w/child's size suede cloth helmet w/movable visor unit w/plastic eye cover insert and "Buck Rogers 25th Century" text and pair of images of him flying w/ray gun. Pair of ear flaps feature different Buck image and are marked "A Daisy Product." Chin strap w/snap closure is complete. Originally issued w/small separate accent piece attached to top back center which is now gone but in no way affects appearance for display. Suede covering has stiffened w/age and has moderate scattered wear/surface cracks. VG/Fine. Scarce.
