8.5x11.25" hardcover collecting full year (1944) of "Fawcett Distributor" industry trade publication that was "Published In The Interest Of Independent Magazine Wholesalers And Dealers." As such, this publication saw limited distribution. Overall content includes Captain Marvel and other Fawcett comic covers shown throughout in various ways, including comic/magazine racks and newsstand displays (some of which also include other Golden Age comics). Some highlights include 1943 staff photo; a storefront display featuring Captain Marvel posters; a two-page spread showing sales figures w/images of "Captain Marvel Adventures, Wow Comics, Funny Animals, Master Comics, Whiz Comics" and "Captain Marvel Jr." as well as several other comics and magazines; two-page spread featuring history of comics, showing Foxy Grandpa facing Captain Marvel w/Platinum Age comics like Katzenjammer Kids, Charlie Chaplin and Mutt & Jeff facing off against "Captain Marvel Adventures, Captain Marvel Jr." and "Blue Beetle"; another page notes "Iceland Welcomes Out Capt. Marvel, noting the character's popularity. Volume also includes much Fawcett and publishing industry news, w/insider and behind-the-scenes info as well as stories, facts and more.
