Item Description
Lot includes two examples of mixed media original art depicting Golden Age Green Lantern (Alan Scott) by his creator Martin Nodell (1915-2006). 9x14" artboard features full body Green Lantern image w/his Lantern power battery. Art has been inscribed "To - Renee And Michael - With Love - Mart Nodell - 2001" in green ink. Nodell has signed again below this in gold paint pen, adding "Creator Of Green Lantern." Exc. 8.5x11" sheet of unlined paper has image of Green Lantern squaring off against frequent foe Solomon Grundy. Art has been annotated "Solomon Grundy And 'Green Lantern' '40 By Mart Nodell '90 - Creator Of 'Green Lantern' '40" in black felt tip pen and was inscribed "To Marshall - Best Regards - Mart Nodell '90" in green felt tip pen. Exc.
