Item Description
13.75x16.75" stiff artboard has original mixed media original art (w/painted border) for 1960s "Playboy" cartoon. Art is by Charles Martin, who provided cartoon art for both "Esquire" and "Playboy" magazines, where this piece was likely submitted to. Martin has signed his familiar "CEM" signature at lower left. Art depicts couple on moonlit canoe ride, the man lunging towards his annoyed-looking date as the canoe's paddle drifts on the lake's surface. Exc.
