Item Description
13x23.5" paper poster features great Mutt & Jeff specialty strip by Bud Fisher created just for Patteron's ad campaign for Tuxedo Tobacco. This same strip was featured in print ads. 1915. Strip features four panels w/Mutt commenting about Sir Walter Raleigh and asking Jeff about tobacco history. Jeff replies that he discovered Tuxedo Tobacco, which causes Mutt to announce that they agree for once, kissing Jeff on the head. Poster has horizontal fold line w/four vertical folds and shows obvious wear w/creases and small tears, some having tape repairs on reverse. VG overall. Rare and first we've offered in our 50 years.
