Item Description
First is 2-1/8" from "Jan. 1943" issued for "Class A" and depicting "Private Plink". Plink was a short lived comic book character that was marketed almost exclusively to the military. Text does not name a particular school. Next is 2-3/8" oval with initials standing for Benjamin Franklin High School and with additional text and cartoon for "Sad Sack/1945/13th Class." Third is 2.25" picturing Sad Sack seated on his duffle bag. Issued by "Overbrook June, '47." Last is 3.5" and the only one to carry the name of a maker, Phila. Badge Co. This one shows Sad Sack in front of the school with rim text "West Philly January 1956." Scene includes tiny text "©1955, George Baker" likely the school artist. All four are NM displaying Mint.
