Item Description
7.5x10.75" stiff paper folder opens to 10.75x22.5" and features great pen and ink watercolor original art on six panels. Folder is titled "Pop Snap And Crackle Build An Electric Ray Plane" and features comic panel story of them and a boy named Johnny repairing airplane that was destroyed by villainous character named "Joe." After the plane is repaired, Joe decides to steal it, but his plans are thwarted by Johnny who uses a "Ray Control" device. Joe is taken into custody by the police in the final panels and Johnny becomes a hero thanks to Snap, Crackle and Pop. Entire folder has hand-lettered text, front reading "One Of A Series Of Their Exploits - Watch For Others In Rice Krispies Boxes." c. 1940s. Art appears to be by Ray Thompson, who later served as artist on Fleer Funnies. Folder has some lt. aging but is Exc. overall w/bright colors. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
