Pair of 11x15.75" paper signs featuring Famous Artists Syndicate's "Smokey Stover" comic strip characters. ©1946-1947. "Malted Milk" sign features photo image of Smokey Stover doll and illustration of his boss Chief Cash U. Nutt riding cow jumping over the moon. Sign features large image of glass of malted milk w/unused price area w/"With Swift's Ice Cream" notation. Sign for "Flare-Top" ice cream cones features Chief Nutt driving the two-wheeled Foomobile fire engine as Smokey runs up ladder propped up on large ice cream cone. Woman in burning house yells in bkg. Both have lt. trace of aging and are Exc. overall. Both are scarce. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
