Item Description
1.25" with W&H paper used only 1900-1912. Button is c. 1910 picturing "Chas. A. Babb" and with rim text "The Next Button Issued For 6 Quaker Bread Labels. We Have All The 'Turtles'/A New One Each Week, Winkleman Baking Co., Memphis." Non-Paper Sports Collectibles lists two player buttons from this team (Baerwald and Carey) but the rim design on those two is totally different than this button with those rims having large bold lettering "Winkleman's Quaker Bread Memphis" and no mention of the "New One Each Week" concept. Tiniest trace of barely perceptible age tone on the white background at the left. Button is NM and glossy. Rare.
